This Is How We Do Our Share In Preserving The Environment

We at White Shark Diving Company care about our oceans. We are in the business of showcasing the natural splendour of our country, something we want to remain proud of. As such, we have invested tremendous time and effort into protecting not only the Great White Shark, but our environment as a whole.

White Shark Diving Company is a founding member of the Great White Shark Protection Foundation. This foundation was founded on the basis of protecting the Great White Shark from environmental fallout and human interference. As such, we have actively protected the Great White Shark internationally since 1991.

We are committed to responsible tourism, evident in our Greenline Certification. This certification has been awarded to us due to our annual environmental impact audits consistently remaining within international brackets.

The Greenline Certification is issued by the Heritage Environmental Management Company, a leader in environmental matters. This focus on responsible tourism and minimal environmental impact keeps us ahead of our competitors.

WSDC also actively collaborates with the South African Department of Environmental Affairs on a regular basis. Our shared interests lie in regulating the Shark Cage Diving Industry and its effect on the environment. This is achieved by the passing of legislation into the Governent Gazette.

WSDC also steers clear of chumming with bait. We don’t believe in encouraging negative behaviour amongst the sharks. White Shark Diving Company DO NOT FEED SHARKS. Chumming is a method used to attract sharks that are already there. This practice is closely regulated by Marine and Coastal Management permit conditions. We work with researchers. This is just one of the many measures we take to ensure a balanced approach towards our interactions with the sharks and our ocean.

Our approach ensures that we leave our environment intact for our children and coming generations. What greater legacy could there be?

Not only does this approach make good business sense, it also ensures that we leave our environment intact for our children and coming generations. What greater legacy could there be?
