Buffelsdrift is a sprawling game farm in the foothills of the Swartberg Mountains in the Cango Valley, Pristine bushveld, lush vegetation and a 5 ha dam provides a haven for twenty game species and more than 217 bird species.
Buffelsdrift Game Lodge is situated 7km outside Oudtshoorn, en route the Cango Caves. The lodge is in the heart of ostrich country, half-an hour’s drive from the Swartberg Nature Reserve. In May 2004 this beautiful Nature Reserve became part of the 6th South-African World Heritage Site offering a wealth of endemic plant species.
Accommodation
Buffelsdrift Game Lodge offers 9 superior tents (situated on the waters edge) & 16 luxury tents each one with its own en-suite bathroom and private outdoor shower, air-conditioning, mini-bar, digital safe, tea/coffee facilities and a game viewing deck. We can accommodate a total of 50 persons (50 beds) in our 25 tents either twin or king size beds. Our swimming pool is situated in between the tents for accommodation guests only.
Look Out Lounge
Situated next to reception with a large round stone fireplace in the middle, overlooking our 5 hectare dam with the Swartberg Mountain Range in the distance. TV and internet facilities available. On arrival relax with a welcome drink while completing your registration card, while your guide takes your luggage to your luxury or superior tent.
Conference Facilities
Our modern Conference Venue with all the latest AV technology and fully air-conditioned can accommodate up to 100 delegates in Cinema Style. Situated overlooking a natural waterhole. Teambuilding programmes can be arranged. Photocopy, facsimile and internet facilities available.
A Karoo Wedding
This quaint wooden chapel is situated on the edge of a natural water hole with a wide wooden deck as entrance to the intimate little chapel. The deck is an extension to the restaurant and this creates a beautiful space for wedding guests to take their seats and witness the couple exchanging their wedding vows. The Restaurant seats 120 guests, the Wooden Deck seats an additional 50 to 100 guests and the Conference Venue seats 80 guests. Catering is facilitated by Buffelsdrift’s own in-house chef.

Our À La Carte & Buffet Restaurant specialising in local cuisine, fully air-conditioned for those typical hot days of the Klein Karoo. A lovely large stone fireplace for those chilly nights in the winter months. With magnificent views of the Swartberg Mountains in the distance. One can also sit on the deck overlooking the dam and watch the hippos playing below. Seating for 120 guests.
